The system will not change until we get the votes inside both chambers to affect change. The time has arrived for employers and taxpayers who produce jobs and taxes to step up and serve in the legislature. To serve as your Lieutenant Governor provides us the opportunity to push for these principles and goals:

Reforming the General Assembly - We should strive to replace the "self-serving" legislature with a citizen-driven assembly like the founders intended.

We must enact reform that include term limits, eliminate pensions, reducing perks and move toward a part-time legislature.
|

|
Pennsylvania Needs To Become Competitive Again - Pennsylvania has the highest corporate net income tax in the USA and our payroll taxes are uncompetitive. Pennsylvania remains near the bottom in economic growth, and along with federal business taxes make us the most expensive place on planet Earth to do business.

Path To Prosperity: Reduce government overhead; Stop excessively taxing everyone; Eliminate out-dated business taxes that hurt job creation and end corporate welfare to the politically connected businesses.

Transparency - It is impossible for the general public – even media, watchdog groups, and rank-and-file lawmakers, to see where the money goes. 26 other states have enacted spending databases, and the federal government has as well.
|
|
Transparency is key to identifying waste, fraud/corruption, duplicative programs – Transparency translates into taxpayer savings. The new open records law is a good start but more is needed. Pennsylvania needs an online, searchable database of state spending in order to have full transparency.

|
Health Care - The US is already half socialized – government spending is out of control, regulations dominate the private-sector and the Federal Government is damaging our economic viability.
|
|
Allow mandate-lite policies, invoke 10th Amendment right to nullify Federal Government coercion and push to pass meaningful lawsuit abuse reform.
|
|
|
Build a Statewide Tax Producers/Taxpayers Advocacy Group - We can't change the laws to accomplish the above task until we change the people inside the Capitol.

|
This group, the Citizens Alliance of Pennsylvania exists to advocate the above policy principles through the recruitment, training and financial support of likeminded candidates to run for the general assembly. This is the vehicle we will use to get other candidates to join our movement.
