A Pennsylvania Comeback |
Over the past 40 years citizens and ordinary
play by the rules taxpayers have become cynical,
and even bitter, about the direction of our government,
and the distance that has forged between the rulers
and the tax producers.
There are two factors that has driven this pessimism that created
more apathy, and for produces more failed public policy at all levels
of government.
Specifically I refer to political elitism and public economic injustice.
I recognized this years before becoming a member of the Pennsylvania
Legislature. But today, most surveys have revealed an explosion where
public sector salaries, pension and health care benefits are much higher
than the folks who create the tax to pay for these increases yet receive
nothing but higher tax bills on April 15th.
This trend must be addressed and can only be accomplished when elected
officials lead the way. And leading by example will be mandatory. When I
refused to join the lifetime pension and health care package as a freshman
legislator 30 years ago stemmed from believing that politician should not
be awarded lavish benefits in retirement when the taxpaying citizens, should
they have pensions and health care, find themselves getting less in coverage and monthly pension rewards.
That decision has saved the taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars
that could have enhanced my personal economics and that is exactly what
is needed today to find citizens to serve in the General Assembly to help
remove the elitism that has developed over the past 30 years in Harrisburg.
My campaign to win and serve as your next Lieutenant Governor will once again provide a public platform to encourage private citizens, particularly tax and job producing employers, and their employees to seek and win seats in our General Assembly.
And represent a real PENNSYLVANIA COMBACK where new Legislators serve without pension for a few terms and FIX our historic Commonwealth.
Only by example can you lead the way and our citizens will recognize that
Pennsylvania is on the right track to once again becoming a leader and model
for other states to follow.

A Lawyer I'm Not... |
A lawyer I'm not. But I invite you to read Article 2, section 8 of our State
Constitution. There's no mention of legislators pensions.Only salary and travel
expense. Pensions for legislators are unconstitutional and illegal. When they
become members of the General Assembly they swear to defend and protect
our state and U.S. Constitution, but break that pledge by joining the pension plan. For every candidate in pursuit of winning seats in our legislature today should be urged to decline the pension by signing the Pension Declination form prior to the upcoming May 18th primary.
To every member of the current Legislature who joined the lifetime pension I urge them to withdraw their membership. Their payroll contributions
will be returned and they can find a 401k plan similar to the majority of their constituents.

The Worm Has Turned |
The worm has turned.
Massachusetts stopped the madness. They told the country
we want it back, all of it. And it must remind us again and again that Pennsylvania holds dear our original House, Independence Hall in Philadelphia.
For those who believe America is at the tipping point let that belief be our starting point for a real comeback.
And why not begin in the historic Keystone state of Pennsylvania the birthplace of freedom.
We need Re founders to serve in the General Assembly. Not every seat but half plus one will work. let's follow in the footsteps of the Founding fathers. Formula is not complicated.
Just say NO to the attitude of let the other guy do it. You do it.
Seek to serve in the General Assembly for a few terms with NO pension, few perks and focus of fixing the process that delivers the peoples business and make Pennsylvania more competitive again and become a model for the other states to follow.
233 years ago we held the colonies together as we created this great nation.
Time now for Pennsylvania to set the example and lead all the states to fix themselves and then we can focus on repairing our federal government.
I invite you to join in our campaign to become the next Lt Governor where we can lead the Comeback in Pennsylvania that is long overdue.

Why I'm Running For Lieutenant Governor |
In the end the decision to run for Lieutenant Governor in 2010 was easy.
Twenty years ago I spent a decade calling for reforms within the General Assembly, pushing back on legislative pay raises and stopping massive pension increases for lawmakers and public employees.
Back then, some fellow legislators agreed with my initiatives. And I believe today more of the rank and file members in both chambers of the General Assembly would welcome proposals to fix the process in our historic capitol where the people’s business is conducted.
Today the taxpayers along with ordinary citizens are connecting to their government.
Why? They can no longer afford the cost of failed public policy and it hurts their head when retired public servants are awarded almost $300,000.00 in pension benefits plus life time health coverage.
The perception that public servants have become the new rich is almost reality.
It’s over. I believe the time has arrived when the job creating, tax producing employer may be ready to act and that’s what made a decision to seek the Lieutenant Governor post EASY.
The time has arrived across America and certainly throughout the 67 counties in Pennsylvania when those who actually produce the bulk of the taxes want answers and solutions to STOP reckless spending, late and bloated budgets and Bonusgate scandals.
To make Pennsylvania competitive again means our employers must STAND UP, be willing to serve in the legislature only for awhile, and change the culture that has grown inside a system that is now run amuck.
I not only want to be a part of that transition, I want to lead it. I will encourage every employer to empower their employees and help us rebuild our Commonwealth making it the model for other states to follow.
And there is no better place in America to start than the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; the birthplace of freedom.
My life’s work of building a business, creating jobs, serving in the legislature, pushing for state government reforms, helping to repeal the 2005 illegal legislative pay raise will strengthen my abilities to serve as your next Lieutenant Governor while building a state wide tax producers MOVEMENT that is long overdue.
If you seek what I seek, I invite you will join me in this effort.
